In visit to medical facility, President vows to exterminate terrorism thru nation’s support

PESHAWAR: President Dr Arif Alvi referring to tragic blast incident at Police Lines, resolved to exterminate terrorism with support of nation.

Expressing these views during visit to Lady Reading Hospital here he enquired about health of injured persons in Police Lines’ masjid blast. Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan accompanied him.

President said that nation, security forces did combat terrorism in an unprecedented manner and they would once again collectively fight menace.

He talked to doctors and hospital administration about well-being of injured. He expressed solidarity with families of martyrs and prayed for early recovery of injured persons.

Dr Arif Alvi also enquired after health of an injured woman and condoled martyrdom of her family members. President noted with satisfaction appropriate medical treatment for injured in blast at Lady Reading Hospital. He lauded doctors and LRH administration for ensuring prompt and quality treatment to blast victims.

Dr Alvi said he had to wait for visit in order to avoid any obstruction in relief and rescue activities. He said nation stood with families of martyrs.

President appreciated announcement by government to provide Rs two million to heirs of each martyred and Rs 0.5 million for each injured person.
