Imran’s lies, lust for power puts foreign policy interests at risk: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that through his lies and lust for power, Imran Khan imperiled vital foreign policy interests of Pakistan. In a tweet, he said that from accusing United States of toppling his government to now wooing US to mend fences, Imran Niazi’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.
“From accusing United States of toppling his government to now wooing US to mend fences, Imran Niazi’s hypocrisy knows no bounds. In process, his lies and lust for power have imperiled Pakistan’s vital foreign policy interests,” he wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, he said Pakistan was looking forward to continued support of International Rescue Committee (IRC) in further promoting capacity building for climate resilience and disaster management.
In meeting with President and CEO of IRC David Miliband here also underscored importance of Committee’s valuable support for reconstruction and repair of damaged schools and hospitals in flood affected areas.
Lauding valuable and long-standing partnership of IRC with Pakistan, he noted with appreciation IRC’s timely assistance in aftermath of last year’s devastating floods.
David Miliband appreciated government for commitment and dedication by taking timely steps to minimise effects of last year’s devastating floods.
He re-affirmed IRC’s desire to deepen collaboration with Pakistan in disaster and climate change management. Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Special Assistants to PM Dr. Jehanzeb Khan, Syed Tariq Fatemi, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik and senior officials of relevant ministries attended meeting.
