Lahore: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan urged Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Umar Ata Bandial to look into four things including FIR of Wazirabad attack, Azam Swati video scandal and brutal assassination of Arshad Sharif.  Supporters of PTI have resumed march to federal capital a week after former premier was shot and injured at public rally.

Addressing long march participants in Wazirabad through video link, he said thieves have no relation with religion and only care about concealing their theft. He said no action was taken over torture on PTI leader Shahbaz Gill and Senator Azam Swati, adding that whatever is happening in country is bringing bad name to country across world.

Imran Khan while raising question on presence of pictures of slain journalist Arshad Sharif said that his mother is not being provided postmortem report despite repeated demands.

“I knew plan. Plot was prepared in September,” Khan told his supporters, without presenting any evidence for his claims. “March will just get strengthened after this incident.”

Khan has described shooting as an “assassination attempt” and blamed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for being behind attack.

Earlier, speaking to a delegation of journalists, PTI Chairman lambasted incumbent government, said he is not desperate to fasten his long march, but that rulers in Islamabad are. Imran said that leaders opposed EVMs because they knew that Imran will defeat them. “If I had to approach establishment for help, so why I talked about EVMs. I don’t need support of establishment, but PML-N and PPP added former premier. Slamming PML-N supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Imran said that efforts underway to ensure return of Nawaz, adding that Nawaz is fond of playing with his own umpires.Continuing to take a swipe at government, Imran said that rules are delaying elections as they are feared of his increasing popularity. Saying that he merely wants transparent elections, Imran added that conduction of transparent elections is only solution to all problems, which country is facing.
