Imran, others booked under terrorism act

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was booked in terrorism case over violence in Zaman Park. A case has been registered against PTI Chairman and other party leaders at Race Course Police Station on complaint of SHO. FIR carries 20 Sections including Section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act. Other section includes interference in state affairs, illegal gathering and refusing to receive court summons on complaint of SHO Rehan Anwar.
FIR stated the party workers and hundreds of supporters committed serious crimes at nod of former Imran Khan. It added that PTI workers damaged state properties and used petrol bombs.
Violent clashes inflicted injuries on 63 policemen, including DIG operations of Islamabad police, it added.
Islamabad police along with Punjab police and Rangers launched an operation to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan after district and sessions court issued his non-bailable arrest warrants for failing to attend hearing in Toshakhana reference.
