RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has warned that an attempt to arrest or disqualify PTI Chairman Imran Khan would further worsen political situation in country. Earlier this week, court in Islamabad issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Imran Khan over no-show in Toshakhana case while ministers have expressed intent to detain PTI Chief.

In series of tweets, former Interior Minister said Election Commission of Pakistan had started preparations for general elections, adding that defiance of orders of Supreme Court would land violators in trouble. He also claimed ruling coalition PDM was facing internal conflict. Sharing his two cents on IMF deal, he predicted that it would trigger inflation and prices of electricity and petroleum products in country would go up. He said that inflation, petrol prices and interest rate had broken all previous records. However, he appreciated China for providing assistance to cash-strapped Pakistan. Sheikh Rasheed said that apex court would hear case regarding vote right to overseas Pakistanis today.
