Imran Khan to appear before court in £190m NCA scandal today

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan skipped an appearance at joint investigation team (JIT) constituted to probe Jinnah House attack case as he offered to be interrogated through video link.

However Imran Khan will appear before court in National Crime Agency £ 190 million scandal today.

According to legal advisor of Imran Khan, PTI Chief will leave for Islamabad from Zaman Park at 8 am. Government earlier placed Imran Khan’s name on Exit Control List in £ 190 million NCA scandal. In video link case according to details, representatives of Imran Khan Advocates Ali Ijaz Buttar and Naeem Haider Panjhuta appeared before investigation team and submitted written response to summons issued day earlier. In his reply to summons, Imran Khan cited “Reports from credible sources” that he could be attacked during public appearances and while joining investigation. Imran mentioned he was also supposed to appear before court today in this regard.

Imran requested that he be allowed to join probe via video link from his house or sent questionnaire containing precise questions/queries for purpose. “In alternative, I am also available in person at Zaman Park,” reply reads.
