Lahore: PTI Chairman Imran Khan makes it clear-cut on his Twitter handle that "I want to clear one thing that I am not fighting my own army. Who does that? There was no conflict with the army before, and there isn't one now."
Former premier said “attack on Lahore Corps Commander’s House is conspiracy against PTI,”. “They are blaming us for it. Imran Khan accused government of “Blatantly” violating Supreme Court’s order to hold polls to Punjab Assembly, claiming that it was doing so out of fear of losing elections. “Whenever law is broken, powerful can do whatever they want to. Doctrine of necessity comes into play and powerful make sure this doctrine works. “Weak need law, not powerful. And this is called level playing field.” “I have never seen my society fall so low, never seen women being treated this way,” Imran Khan said. Imran Khan has said there are 80 percent chances of his arrest today when he will be in Islamabad to pursue pre-arrest bail in various cases. Meeting with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Pakistan at Zaman Park house here both partries demanded halt to ongoing “Illegal crackdown” on PTI workers as well as release of senior party members, particularly women workers and leaders. In Twitter spaces session, he claimed, “they want to create fear so that when they arrest Imran Khan again, everyone is scared to come out and protest.”
In an address to supporters via twitter spaces, he likened oppression of his party workers to genocide in Nazi Germany. Imran said that crackdown on his party under pretext of arson during May 9 protests was “Uncalled for”. “PTI has been advocating peaceful protests for past 27 years. Why would country’s largest party want violence? “We don’t. It is someone else who wants violence.”
He lamented oppression of his party supporters and workers, saying that such times were unseen in history of Pakistan.
