SHAKARGARH: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan deserved Noble Prize for his ‘political failure’.
Talking to media, he said that establishment’s decision to stay out of politics was victory of narrative of “Respect Mandate” voiced by PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif. “Past should serve as guide for establishment, judiciary and bureaucracy”, he added. Some judges and generals, he said imposed Khan on country and his government had given terrorists opportunity to flourish again.
He said that unfortunately some of judiciary’s rulings were backing Khan. “Other battles in court are being settled after former Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi’s audio leaks case is fixed”, he claimed. He said those responsible must be brought under law after investigating Elahi’s leaks.
He claimed Khan had become tool for foreign powers as he had been running baseless campaign against country’s atomic programme. “Khan is attempting to put party workers behind bars as he is sure of his politics going to end”, he added.
