ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan and said that former Prime Minister “attacks those who nourished him”.

Moreover, PM while talking to journalists after holding a meeting with social media influencers also made a revelation that Imran through a mutual friend contacted him regarding appointment of new Army Chief one month ago and offered him nominating three each potential candidates for post but he refused to sit with him.

“I only offered to hold talks on charter of democracy and charter of economy,” he said. “I sent a message to Imran Khan that appointment of Army Chief is constitutional right of prime minister and he would do it on his own,” he said.

Earlier while talking to social media influencers, Prime Minister said PTI Chief was allegedly making fun of martyrs’ blood by attacking national institutions. He said that Indian government and media was ‘celebrating’ Imran’s remarks against our security establishment. “Imran Khan was supported by establishment in an unprecedented way. If we were provided with only twenty percent of same support, country’s progress could be lifted miraculously,” he added.
