ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan said Imran Khan is political rival and not enemy. “How can those forces be convinced which are out to give colour of enmity to political rivalry. They are on way to kill or to be killed. This is way of destruction. We regret and condiment attack on Imran Khan. Attitude of Imran Khan and remaining leadership is condemnable since yesterday.

Citizen who was killed in incident on Thursday had three children. It was very tragic scene. We have considered Imran Khan our political opponent and not enemy, he said this while addressing a press conference here.

Meeting of party senior leadership has taken place under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This aspect was mulled over how process of hate and division was deepened. How it can be decreased. How can this thinking be changed into tolerance. They all condemned incident of firing on Imran Khan, he added.  He observed leveling allegation without investigation is condemnable. How their leaders kept on saying. Do this, do that, set ablaze. Don’t spare any one. Such attitude never leads us to right direction. These attitude never lead us to path of democracy.

Accused who has been arrested in connection with incident has been arrested with help of PTI worker Ibtesam. We have condemned this incident. We have prayed for recovery of all. FIR has not been lodged so far in respect of this incident. Perhaps attempt is being made to manage FIR of this incident which is condemnable.  He remarked Ahsan Iqbal was attacked. Khawaja Asif was attacked. We reject these allegations. What was attitude of PTI at that time was before all of you. I don’t want to go into details what second video we have seen. In this video accused is arguing.

It was responsibility of Punjab government to provide security to Imran Khan but it failed in doing so, he held.  Federation is ready to provide every help in investigation into Thursday incident, he added.
