Imran congratulates Trump, ‘will of US people held against all odds’

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has felicitated Republican President Donald Trump on his election win. “Will of American people held against all odds,” he wrote on X.Imran Khan hoped that Trump would push for peace, human rights and democracy globally.

He was hopeful that bilateral relations between Pakistan and US would improve under upcoming Trump administration. Imran said that he enjoyed good and friendly relations with Trump as Prime Minister”.

According to Ali Muhammad Khan, who met Imran said PTI founder revealed getting calls from former US president Donald Trump during his premiership where they would discuss range of topics including bilateral relations and business issues.

However, Ali Muhammad Khan said that former ruling party was not pinning hopes on President-elect Donald Trump to pave way for release.

Meanwhile, Omar Ayub Khan-leader of opposition in National Assembly also extended congratulations to Trump and his VP-elect JD Vance on winning polls.

“It is hoped that this team will foster better relations between people of Pakistan and people of United States of America,” he wrote in post on X.

PTI also took to its official X handle to congratulate Republican candidate and his VP-elect, stating that people of United States have spoken and their “Mandate has been respected”.
