LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  Chaiman Imran Khan yesterday said to defeat PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in "his own constituency" once he returns back to Pakistan.

At the resumption of 'Haqeeqi Azadi March' on Day 5 from Gujranwala, Imran said "Nawaz Sharif, I challenge you, when you come back, I will beat you in your own constituency," said Imran in his first speech of the day.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan stated that those with power should involve themselves in decision-making process for reconciliation. In an interview with US media, Imran stated that purpose of long march is to demand ‘free and fair’ elections, adding that polls should not be delayed and should be held immediately.

Imran emphasised significance of rule of law, stating that when rule of law prevails in a country, it equalises both privileged and underprivileged segments of society. Imran, who slammed rulers, claimed that individuals, who are in positions of power receive NRO after stashing money, but weak are in jail.

PTI Chief claimed that despite fact that Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill had both endured worst forms of torture while being arrested, no one had spoken out in support of them. Earlier, Imran Khan stated his commitment to establishing a government as per people’s choice by toppling incumbent government, which he described as ‘a group of looters.’ In his address to participants of long march, former premier expressed his gratitude to PTI’s supporters in Gujranwala and noted that they even surpassed Lahoriites in terms of turnout. Imran stated that he is witnessing fervor and consciousness of people of Gujranwala and hoped that one day soon, march’s participants will be able to tell their children about success of PTI’s true freedom movement.

Moreover, PTI Chief challenged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Nawaz Sharif to contest election against him by returning home. Firing broadsides at Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, PTI Chief said that PML-N leader’s time has come now. There isn’t any more time left now. I know you are sweating now Sanaullah, you and Shehbaz Sharif. These rats are threatening us. Listen to me, when we reach Islamabad listen to me Sanaullah police you are spending millions on will join us because they too are against thieves, he said. PTI Chief berated Nawaz, stating that he is there to serve country, unlike Nawaz, who fled country. Nawaz is waiting to get NRO from a powerful segment, so that he could return to country.

Continuing to take a dig at Nawaz, Imran said, “All of us would welcome Nawaz, when he will return home by taking him to Adiala Jail, directly from airport. Even Nawaz had rigged his medical reports.

Appealing Chief Justice of Pakistan to deliver justice to PTI leaders Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill, Imran also lashed out at Chief Election Commissioner again, alleging that CEC is a slave of Sharif family.
