IMF vows full support to Pakistan

Islamabad: International Monetary Fund (IMF) said it would support flood relief and reconstruction efforts in Pakistan under current programme agreed to between two, according to a statement from IMF's resident representative in country Esther Perez Ruiz.
Statement said that IMF was "deeply saddened" by devastating impact of recent floods in Pakistan and extended its sympathies to millions of flood victims. "We will work with others in international community to support, under current programme, authorities' relief and reconstruction efforts and especially their ongoing endeavour to assist those affected by floods while ensuring sustainable policies and macroeconomic stability," statement said.
