RAWALPINDI: Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Humaid called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir at General Headquarters here.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed.

COAS welcomed dignitary and highlighted that visit by Imam-e-Kaaba to Pakistan was matter of honour for people here.

He said that Muslims from across world had boundless reverence for ‘Harmain Shraifain’ and profound respect for their custodian.

Imam-e-Kaaba said that Islam is religion of peace and brotherhood and there is no room for misconstrued interpretations of Islam.

Dignitaries condemned ongoing atrocities in Gaza conflict and oppression of Muslims in IIOJK and expressed solidarity with people of Palestine and Kashmir.

Army Chief remarked that Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had strong strategic relations based on exemplary historic religious and cultural ties. At end, Imam-e-Kaaba prayed for peace, stability and unity of Muslims.
