IK to give call for Islamabad once flood recede: Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that PTI Chief Imran Khan would “give call for Islamabad” once floods, that have ravaged country and displaced millions recede. Taking to Twitter, Rasheed wrote that International Monetary Fund had made yet another agreement with government for Rs 608 billion.

“First they robbed treasury and now people’s pockets,” he said. “Floods have opened eyes of people of Sindh, floods have destroyed Pakistan Democratic Movement’s reputation. How will other countries give aid when people of country refuse to give money to money launderers?” He said that people could not bear burden of increasing petrol and power prices, yet government continued to raise them.

“Imran Khan will give call for Islamabad once floods recede,” he concluded. Rasheed’s statement comes a day after PTI chief warned government that he had been tolerating “excesses” against his party for four months and said if he announced a march on Islamabad then government would have nowhere to hide.
