RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has urged his supporters to gather in large numbers on November 24, emphasizing that the protest is crucial to reclaiming the country’s freedom.
The call was conveyed by his sister, Aleema Khan, who spoke to the media outside the Adiala Jail. Aleema Khan stated that her brother had underscored the importance of the upcoming protest, highlighting the grave situation the country faces under the current government. She emphasized that the three pillars of democracy had been systematically destroyed by the incumbent government, and that severe restrictions had been imposed on digital and social media platforms. Referring to her meeting with the PTI chairman, Aleema Khan revealed that Imran Khan had expressed his concerns about the future of the nation, stressing that if the current generation does not rise up, the consequences would be dire for future generations. “Imran Khan believes that November 24 is a decisive day for reclaiming our freedom,” she added. The PTI founder’s message has rallied his supporters, with many preparing to join the protest in Islamabad, where they aim to challenge the government’s actions and demand their rights. Imran Khan’s call for the November 24 protest comes after months of political unrest and growing public dissatisfaction with the current administration.
