IHC suspends Sh Rasheed’s appearance in police station

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended notice of Aabpara Police which demanded Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed to appear in Police Station.

Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri of IHC announced decision after lawyer of Sheikh Rasheed completed his arguments. Hearing was postponed till Monday.

Meanwhile, court ordered Inspector General of Islamabad Police to be present in next hearing. Later, Rasheed speaking to media said court had suspended notice and police could not arrest him, while thanking his lawyer for defending his constitutional rights in best possible manner. Sheikh Rasheed challenged this in Islamabad High Court. Plea in petition was threats from Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah are coming to him.
