IHC rejects PTI plea for suspending EC schedule for by-polls in 9 constituencies

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected PTI plea for immediate suspending schedule of holding by polls in 9 constituencies. Case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Amir Farooq here yesterday. Court inquired during hearing of case what is legal justification that schedule for holding by polls be suspended. Matter of 9 vacant seats came up before Election Commission and it gave election schedule.

Faisal Chaudhry counsel for PTI told court we are too seeking election from very first day. But we want election should be held on all seats at a time. Court remarked we will see this matter on August 16 thus Court adjourned hearing of case
