ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has given 10 days more to Islamabad Police for recovering and presenting a citizen Hamid who has gone missing since February 2.  A single bench of IHC led by Justice Amir Farooq took up petition seeking recovery of Hamid for hearing yesterday.

Court also extended interim bail of SP Peshawar Police for 10 days who is nominated in this case. Shah Khawar and Qazi Adil Aziz advocates appeared in court on behalf of Peshawar Police SP while advocate Imran Feroze represented missing person Hamid in court. SHO from Islamabad Police and others also appeared in court. Islamabad Police while taking U-turn in court gave new statement. They told court on previous hearings that Hamid is with KP Police and during hearing they said that he is with Karachi Police.

We have come to know that FIR is lodged against Hamid in Karachi. We doubt that perhaps he is in custody of Karachi Police.  Justice Amir Farooq while expressing displeasure over new statement of Islamabad Police remarked it is strange first your SSP said he is in custody of KP Police. Your SSP had told that they are having CC TV footage and geofencing. Now you are saying he is in custody of Karachi Police.  Court while accepting police plea gave 10 days more besides adjourning hearing of case till November 14.
