IHC dismisses plea against suspension of prison staff of Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed petition against suspension of prison staff of Adiala Jail declaring it non maintainable.

Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Athar Minallah took up petition for hearing. CJ IHC remarked this matter does not fall in jurisdiction of this court as it is a big issue of human rights.

CJ IHC while addressing lawyer remarked I tell you they do what with prisoners therein. Counsel took plea “You are right but who were involved were let off and those who were innocent and were not involved were suspended.”

CJ IHC remarked Human Rights Commission is working on this matter. Human Rights Commission has been ordered to investigate matter. –Online
