IHC bars police from taking action against Sh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered police not to initiate any action against Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad in respect of cases registered in Lasbella and Mochko in Karachi

A single bench of IHC led by Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri took up case for hearing. Counsel for Sheikh Rasheed told court had stopped police from taking further action with regard to summons notice from Aabpara Police Station. But police registered case on this application and made arrest. One more FIR was registered in Karachi when Sheikh Rasheed was in custody of police.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri remarked when venue for giving statement is Polyclinic hospital then how case was registered in Karachi.–Online
