IHC bars police from arresting PTI leader Murad Saeed

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has barred police from arresting PTI leader Murad Saeed.

Petition filed by Murad Saeed for provision of details of cases against him and stopping police from arresting him came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir.  Court ordered that Murad Saeed be not arrested till details of cases are provided. No adverse action be taken against Murad Saeed. Court remarked we will issue proper orders. We call respondents and ask from them. Court while issuing notice to respondents summoned reply till next week. Sher Afzal Murrawat advocate counsel for Murad Saeed appeared in court. Counsel of the petitioner told court order be issued to provide detail of cases registered against his client. Details of ongoing investigation and inquiries being conducted by FIA and other institutions be also provided. Police be prevented from arresting Murad Saeed till decision of petition.

Interior minister is threatening Murad Saeed publicly. TTP is hurling threats on staging successful rally against militants in Swat. Security was withdrawn despite security threats. Orders be issued to provide proper security.
