IGP Islamabad forms JIT to probe journalist Arshad Sharif murder

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General Islamabad Police formed especial Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe into murder of senior journalist Arshad Sharif. JIT was formed on request of Senior Superintendent of Police SSP investigation. Five members JIT will investigate Arshad Sharif’s murder in Kenya under supervision of Deputy Inspector General headquarter.

Team will comprise of District Police Officer Saddar, Station House Officer Ramna Police Station and investigation officer and fifth member will be included by Inspector General Islamabad expediency. JIT will prepare and submit report to Islamabad High Court. It is worth mentioning, yesterday Supreme Court of Pakistan issued directions to register journalist Arshad Sharif murder case.
