IG Sindh decides to increase salaries of investigation officers

KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) Police Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has decided to increase salaries of investigation police to bring improvement in department. IG Police has taken this important decision to improve investigation department.

In this regard, IG Sindh said that investigation officers have to work on investigation for three years and it has been decided to make investigation police a separate cadre.

He said that an expert investigator will be appointed for murder cases and one lakh rupees will be given for case expenses during the murder-kidnapping-for-ransom cases. He said that 50 percent of money will be given in advance to investigating officer while all expenses for DNA and post-mortem will be given to investigating officer.

He said that a committee has already been formed under chairmanship of DIG CIA to examine rules of investigation police.–Online
