If court has to tell how institutions work, what is use of making institutions: LHC

RAWALPINDI: Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has inquired what action has been taken so far by administration on petitions filed against protest dharnas during PTI long march.  Court remarked if court has to tell institutions that how institutions work then what will is use of making institutions.

These remarks were given by Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf during hearing of three separate petitions already filed against protest dharnas during PTI Long March.  Advocate Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Imran Khan and Asad Umar appeared in court. Commissioner Rawalpindi, Deputy Commissioner, CPO and joint director of IB appeared from administration side.

Court inquired administration has taken what action on petitions filed against dharnas. CPO Rawalpindi told court cases were registered against 45 persons for blocking roads by protesters. Court directed law officer to review clauses of cases.  Law officer took plea report will be filed after reviewing clauses of cases. IB Joint director took plea before court only court can see IB report. Court remarked it will do review IB report.

Counsel for Imran Khan and Asad Umar told court replies from Imran Khan and Asad Umar will be filed within week. Court while summoning all respondents adjourned hearing till February 2.
