ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stood firm on his ‘butcher of Gujarat remarks’ for India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing public gathering in Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, he while referring to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said when he called butcher or murderer, they started crying.
He questioned either real terrorists were those who had placed head money for foreign minister of country or those who themselves were victims of terrorism. Meanwhile, he thanked countries who stayed away from participation in G20 tourism meeting in Srinagar.
“I salute to China, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and other countries who rejected Indian invitation to participate in G20 tourism meeting in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir territory,” he said.
He said countries that were participating in conference had also downgraded their participation which reflected that there was nothing normal in conference.
FM Bilawal said how tourism could be promoted in an area where half of local population was in jail and over 900,000 armed personals were deployed to curb voices of local people demanding their right to self- determination. He said that Modi government was actually big supporter of terrorist organisations in India which were involved in terrorism activities against Indian minorities including Muslims and Christians.
“When we speak for human rights of Kashmirs, they (Indian government) say we are representing terrorists”, he said adding “How they could call us terrorists when we also had been victims of terrorism”. “We want peace and represent people affected by terrorism”, he added. He said when he met with foreign dignitaries, he always raised voice for cause of Kashmiris.
Kashmir issue was not issue of Pakistan and India, but it was issue of people of Kashmir and it had become an international problem which could not be resolved until Kashmiris were not allowed their right to self-determination.
He hoped that struggle of Kashmiris would bear fruits and days were not far away when Kashmiris would get freedom by exercising their right to self-determination.
