ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he always stood against arrest of political leaders. Speaking to media, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi expressed his views in connection with potential arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, saying court issued arrest warrants for latter as he did not appear before court. He suggested that deposed premier to surrender himself, as he would get bail.

Government did not issue arrest warrants for Imran Khan, but court did.In connection with return of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Khaqan Abbasi said that he was not aware of latter’s return. However, Nawaz Sharif will be returned to country ahead of elections, he added. Clearing air over taking gifts from Toshakhana, Abbasi said, “I have taken Toshakhana gifts as per law. I have not earned any profit from these gifts.”
