Huge turnout in polls a 'slap' in the face of Iran's detractors: CG Hassan

KARACHI: The Iranian Consul General Hassan Nourain has said that the participation of the people in the presidential elections with a large majority is a strong slap on the face of Iran's enemies and ill-wishers.

According to the report of Maher News Agency, the process of polling in the Iranian presidential elections is going on inside and outside the country. Polling stations have been established in countries around the world to allow Iranian citizens living abroad to participate in the election process.

Determinations in Karachi, Pakistan's largest and commercial city, Iranian Consul General Hassan Nourain said after casting his vote in the presidential election that a large number of Iranians live in Karachi. The voting process is going on in the polling station established in the Iranian Consulate.

Karachi, the huge turnout is a slap in the face of the detractors of Islamic Republic of Iran, the Iranian Consul General He said that a large number of Iranians living in Karachi are casting their votes at the polling station established in the consulate as soon as the polling starts at 8 am. Iranian citizens living abroad want to contribute to the country's development by participating in the election of the president.

He said that with the participation of the majority of people in the elections, the democratic system in the country will be more stable than before and the image of Iran in front of the world will be better. Hassan Nourain said that the heavy turnout will be a strong slap on the face of anti-national elements and ill-wishers.
