KARACHI: In the heart of North Nazimabad, Karachi, the air was filled with devotion and reverence as the 45th annual 'urs' of the illustrious Sufi saint, Hazrat Sarkar Syed Sufi Naseer Ahmed Kaifi Chisti Nizami Dehlvi (RA), unfolded at the sacred grounds of Khankah-e-Naseeriya.

The commemoration commenced with the solemn ritual of 'ghusal,' cleansing the shrine, and the laying of floral wreaths, a symbolic gesture of honor and love. Fateh Khawani followed, accompanied by heartfelt prayers after the evening's Esha prayers, setting the tone for the spiritual journey ahead.

As the second day dawned, the morning was adorned with Mehfil-e-Qul, a gathering to remember and honor the saint's teachings and legacy. This was followed by Mehfil-e-Samaa, where devotees immersed themselves in soul-stirring melodies, evoking the divine presence that permeates every corner of the shrine.

Throughout the festivities, the spirit of generosity prevailed with langar distribution, ensuring that all who gathered, irrespective of creed or status, were nourished both spiritually and physically.

Hazrat Sarkar Naseer Ahmed Kaifi Chisti Nizami (RA) belongs to the esteemed lineage of Silsila-e-Chisti Nizami, a beacon of wisdom and enlightenment for generations. The Chishti practice, with its emphasis on Mehfil-e-Samaa, serves as a bridge between the earthly and the divine, inviting seekers to experience the boundless love and mercy of the Almighty.

Guided by the Sajjada Nasheen and Gaddi Nasheen of Khankah-e-Naseeriya, Sarkar Syed Nazeer Haider Chisti Nizami, the annual 'Urs' festivities unfolded, culminating in a vibrant tapestry of faith and devotion.

As Sajjada Nasheens from Pakistan's prominent shrines offered their prayers and blessings during the main day of 'Urs,' a multitude of devotees from across Karachi gathered to partake in the spiritual blessings and grace bestowed upon this sacred occasion.

In honoring Hazrat Sarkar Syed Sufi Naseer Ahmed Kaifi Chisti Nizami (RA), we not only commemorate a saint of unparalleled wisdom and piety but also reaffirm our commitment to the timeless principles of love, compassion, and unity that define the Sufi tradition.
