KARACHI: A gang of unscrupulous elements using female members on social media platform sending friend request to specific targets and attempting extortion has been discovered.

According to an exclusive report a girl calling her Ayesha Parveen requested a person in Karachi on Messenger for friendship and within two three days frequently called him on voice calls by telling that she belongs to Islamabad and working for a private bank branch there. Soon she obtained the WhatsApp number of this friend, and from her phone number started messaging to contact to come through video call by coercing him to undress before each other on their cameras.

The man refused to follow her and argued that he was busy at work in office. But she continued and during one of such video calls she started to undress herself on camera which was actually few seconds’ porn clips of a recorded movie. The man becomes astonished on this act and cut off the video call.

After few hours the man receives a call from an unknown number on his cell phone. The caller introduced him as DSP Syed Azhar Hussain Bukhari from Lahore and says that a girl named Ayesha Parveen has been murdered by someone in Lahore. Her body is lying in hospital and during scrutiny of personal record we found your number and the video recorded about you in her cell phone. The matter is very serious therefore my SSP has instructed to contact you. We have collected all the basic information about you like your CNIC number, home address and the numbers of all your relatives and family members. Hence, you have to record your statement and all details about relations with the girl. We have registered the case and I have approached you just to favour you personally if you desire to please me through negotiation and greasing our palm.

The targeted person replied to fully cooperate with him provided the case record copies are shown and details sent. The man replied to the so called DSP that he knows all tricks and games being played by the honey-trapping gangs hence he should avoid to play foul and send him the required details if he wished to get cooperated. But soon after hearing this DSP was vanished and the Messenger contact of the girl was blocked, while phone numbers of the DSP and the girl were saved to get this matter further investigated, the sources added.
