ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar reacted to former US special representative Zalmay Khalilzad’s statements regarding political developments in Pakistan.

Hina Rabbani Khar informally talking to journalists said that she won’t reply to statements of Zalmay Khalilzad and he even failed to complete single project. Regarding May 9 riots, Khar said that world has witnessed response of security forces during attacks and vandalism. She added that security forces exhibited patience to avoid any human loss.

State Minister said that world has also witnessed response after an attack on Capitol Hill in United States. “There is no such example for torching whole country by taking advantage of popularity. All countries expressed concerns over riots in Pakistan.” She said that world and Pakistan believe in all kinds of rights, however, not single country would tolerate riots in name of politics.

Khar said that government will protect constitutional rights of Pakistani nation and that no tolerance will be shown to those who took part in May 9 riots.
