Health Minister visits PIMS, reviews cooling system break down

ISLAMABAD: Minister of health Abdul Qadir Patel visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and reviewed break down, said Health Ministry spokesperson.

Minister expressed indignation and scolded cooling system in charge. He issued strict directions to PIMS engineers and asked them to sit out of AC from 11am to 4pm daily. Executive Director PIMS briefed Minister.

Health Minister said huge air conditioner be installed within 24 hours. He said AC must be functional in old emergency before 12am night. Abdul Qadir said this project is slow from Public Works Department and I had telephone talk with Secretary Housing Works. System which is under up gradation must be made on emergency basis. Patients’ burden is increasing on PIMS with high speed. 

He said 20 to 25 percent people are coming from Islamabad and neighbouring areas. KP, AJK Gilgit Baltistan people are also coming here. Summer got intense due to which patients went upset.

He directed Executive Director PIMS that issue must be solved on emergency basis. Submit me report on this daily basis. He said serving people is our mission and will make sure health facilities to patients.
