Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Hamza Shehbaz launched election campaign.
Addressing public gathering here, former Punjab Chief Minister took swipe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, saying, “Country would have defaulted if PTI founder was not ousted from power.”
At outset of his speech, Hamza Shehbaz said, “Passion of women and party workers is overwhelming. It is matter of immense delight for me to be considered worker instead of Chief Minister.”
Hamza Shehbaz said, “During his tenure, PTI founder made promise to create 10 million employment opportunities for masses. But none of promises had been fulfilled.”
He recounted contributions made by PML-N, saying, “When Nawaz Sharif was elected as Prime Minister in 2013, country was witnessing 20-hour-long load shedding. But when PML-N left power in 2018, country was not witnessing power outage.”
Underscoring importance of election, Hamza said, “Forthcoming elections that are slated to happen on February 8 are of great importance as they will decide country’s fate.”
