Hamza Ali Abbasi, the renowned Pakistani actor, recently reflected on his personal growth, his journey towards becoming a practicing Muslim, and the impact it had on his life choices, including his decision to marry.
In a candid conversation, the actor shared that his decision to embrace a pious life was a gradual process that began years ago. He revealed that while he was already following Islam to some extent, it wasn’t until he encountered the teachings of Javed Ghamdi in 2018 that he fully committed to living by Islamic principles.
Abbasi admitted that in his earlier years, he struggled with arrogance and pride, which led to him breaking many hearts along the way. Acknowledging his past mistakes, he sincerely apologized for his behavior, expressing regret for the hurt he may have caused. He confessed, “I was a different person back then, proud and full of arrogance. If I didn’t apologize to anyone back then, I do so now.”
The actor also opened up about his love life, specifically his marriage to Naimal Khawar. Abbasi described his relationship with Naimal as a blessing from Allah, acknowledging that he had prayed for a righteous partner and a fulfilling life. He humbly shared that falling in love with Naimal was beyond his control, calling it a gift from Allah that brought him happiness and peace.
“It was not in my control when I fell for Naimal,” he said, “I wasn’t mature or capable enough, but Allah made it possible.” Hamza Ali Abbasi’s reflections on his transformation and the lessons learned along the way offer a glimpse into the actor’s personal growth and newfound humility.
