Karachi: Hamad ND Khan took charge of new Administrator of District South Karachi.

Addressing introductory meeting of officers in his office, Hammad Khan said that basic function of municipal bodies is to provide municipal services to people at their doorsteps. If available resources and manpower are used with coherent policy, it is possible to achieve desired results, he added.

“Renovation of parks and playgrounds and removal of encroachments to provide healthy environment and entertainment are among our priorities, for which we have to be busy day and night in performing our duties.

Performance of any government organisation depends on its tax recovery. All possible steps should be taken to increase source of income of organisation and especially to improve tax recovery while ensuring hundred percent attendance of office and field staff.

Administrator said that it is responsibility of all of us to adhere to working hours and perform our official duties in good and efficient manner. In this way, we will not only be able to better provide municipal facilities to people, which is main work of our organisation but also use our skills to solve problems faced by people.

Municipal Commissioner Akhtar Ali Sheikh and departmental officers were present.
