Hammad Azhar comes on ACE radar, arrest likely

ISLAMABAD: Former Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hammad Azhar has come on Anti-Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) radar following alleged financial dent of millions to national exchequer through illegal construction of steel mill. Anti-Corruption Establishment lodged case against Hammad Azhar and initiated further proceedings to arrest him. Hammad Azhar is accused of illegally constructing steel mill which caused millions worth financial loss to national exchequer.
Azhar and Haji Muhammad Iqbal building inspector of Ferozewala Municipal Committee were nominated in First Information Report which stated that financial loss was caused in terms of commercialisation fee for construction of AFCO Steel Mill. AFCO Steel Mill was ‘illegally constructed’ without approval of building plan and map.
