Hamdard, Gennec ink accord on manufacturing collaboration

KARACHI: Hamdard Pakistan (HP) reached an agreement with Gennec Health Sciences Pvt. Ltd to manufacture some of its leading products in Gennec's manufacturing unit. In contract signing ceremony held at Hamdard Corporate Head Office, Dr. Arshad Saleem Chief Operating Officer HP, termed agreement as milestone for growth and development of health sector of Pakistan. Event was attended by Directors and senior staff of both organisations in number.
Dr. Arshad Saleem said, "Promotion of wellness and wellbeing in society and growth and development of country's health sector are among core values and objectives of HP. In line with founder Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said's vision and in pursuit of his guidelines with untiring efforts, HP today has emerged as an industrial standard for Eastern medicine manufacturing in country."
He said, "To increase its operational capacity, HP actively seeks partnerships with reputed medical and technical institutions under an integrated strategy to utilise their expertise and professional capabilities. This ensures continued upward development and growth trajectory of health sector in Pakistan. "Today's agreement with Gennec Health Sciences is testament to HP's commitment and resolute for betterment of society," he added.
He remarked that journey of growth was not over. HP had been proactively studying diseases and illnesses and continued to introduce new effective products and medicines. Also, there had been concentrated effort to rebrand and refurbish Hamdard's existing product range in accordance with modern needs and preferences.
Shahryar Pasha Head of Marketing thanked distinguished guests on behalf of HP for their presence and said that HP would continue to adapt to modern health challenges.
Later after signing agreement, Dr. Arshad Saleem presented memento to Abdul Jabbar CEO Gennec on behalf of HP. Since Hamdard is an environmentally conscious company, it took novel initiative to commemorate signing ceremony. Distinguished guests were asked to sow plants in pots, which they also watered. These plants will be planted in one of many gardens managed by HP. Guests highly appreciated this initiative of HP and announced they would emulate this practice.
