Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that if Hafiz Naeemur Rehman wishes that he can put his name plaque on ground of North Nazimabad, then Hafiz Sahib, who accused me of China cutting, should become mayor himself.

How could you have achieved success if MQM had not boycotted. Do not obstruct development of city due to political differences. For peace of city and its development as Governor, let me take everyone along, for which I actually went to everyone and proved, “I am Governor of entire province”.

Addressing press conference at Governor’s House, said he would work continuously. There should be Family Park for citizens in North Nazimabad. It is not big issue for parks to be named after one person. Jamaat-e-Islami workers raised slogans at inauguration of park.

It was advertised and Rs 1.5 to 2 million were spent in last 4 days. If they had invested this money in good cause, many people would have benefited.  Governor Sindh said that putting up hoardings in city will not do anything. Don’t take revenge from people. I told Hafiz Naeem through media that I am ready to come when he invites me. I have always called you brother, I will come when you call me. In response, he said that for development of Karachi, all stakeholders have to sit, where there is need to fix what has gone wrong, everyone is respectful to me.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of State Life Insurance Corporation Shoaib Javed Hussain along with officers met Governor. Facility of health insurance for common people, issuance of health cards and other related issues were discussed. Governor said that health insurance facilities will be provided to common people from Governor House. Tessori said that details of health cards would be finalised soon and health insurance project will be started soon. Moreover, Ulema of Ahl Hadith sect and madrassa principals under leadership of Allama Dr. Aamir Abdullah, besides Imran Ahmad Salafi, Maulana Mufti Yusuf Kasuri, Maulana Dr. Maqbool Makki, Maulana Mufti Anas Madani, Maulana Hafiz Amjad, Maulana Dr. Iftikhar, Maulana Amir Abdullah Farooqi, Maulana Afzal Sardar, Irfan Sheikh, Abdul Haseeb Chauhan and Ali bin Amir requested Governor to arrest killers of Maulana Zia-ul-Rehman as soon as possible. Governor telephoned DIG East Azfar Mahesar and SSP Irfan Bahadur. DIG East briefed Governor on investigation done so far. Governor proposed to delegation to name Block LK Park after Zia-ur-Rehman Shaheed.

Moreover, caretaker Minister Revenue, Industries and Commerce Younis Dhaga and Tessori discussed industrial activity in province, computerisation of land records, promotion of industries, economic challenges and other issues. Governor said that by computerising land records, it will be possible to eliminate complications. Later, caretaker minister inspected ration bags of Mighty Pakistan, bell of hope, marquee under construction for IT courses and Quaid Room.
