Habib Girls Higher Secondary School wins Inter-Collegiate Table Tennis Event

Karachi: Habib Girls Higher Secondary School wins the Inter-collegiate Table Tennis event by defeating Sir Adamjee College 2-0 in the singles events in the final of “1st Fatimiyah Inter School and College girls Table Tennis Tournament”. Khatoon e Pakistan college secured the third position. 16 colleges participated in the event. Anusha of Habib Girls Higher Secondary School was named the “Player of the tournament” in the college category.

In the school category, 8 schools participated in the event. PECHS school won the event by defeating Habib Girls School. Sara Nasir of PECHS school impressed everyone with her performance and won the best player award in the school team event.

Samina Ramazan, Principal of Fatimiyah Girls School and Shahab Sarki Advocate, President of Sports for Life were Chief Guest of the event. Shahab Sarki Advocate congratulated the teams for their performances and promised to provide support to players who performed well in the tournament. He said training centres are being developed in the city to develop professional players. 

Samina Ramazan thanked all the schools and colleges for participating in the event and acknowledged the support of Sports for Life for the event. She said more events will be organized to promote sports at the grass root level.
