Govt to provide all-out support to Sindh Police, says Sanaullah

Islamabad: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that federal government is ready to provide maximum assistance to Sindh police following Karachi Police Office attack. Rana Sanaullah said in statement that at least six to seven terrorists came in car and hurled hand grenades at Karachi Police Office before entering building.
Police said staffers are still present in police chief’s office when attackers carried out explosions and gunfire. DIG South Irfan Baloch told media that at least six terrorists were present inside KPO building. He said that terrorists entered building from second entrance as per initial report. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of attack. CM directed deputy inspector generals (DIGs) to send contingents to KPO and arrest attackers. He sought report from concerned officer.
After explosions of hand grenades, bulletproof vehicle entered KPO premises. Terrorists used hand grenades and heavy arms to stop advancement of law enforcement agencies (LEAs). It was learnt that some terrorists were also present in an adjacent residential building.
