Govt to extend all possible cooperation for GB’s development: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that government will extend all possible cooperation for development of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

Talking to Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah here they discussed matters pertaining to development of Gilgit-Baltistan. Governor appealed Minister to provide funds for Public Sector Development Projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan Democratic Movement government will extend all possible cooperation for development of Gilgit-Baltistan. Matters pertaining to development of Gilgit-Baltistan were discussed. According to media reports, GB’s Governor asked Federal Minister to provide funds for Public Sector Development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.

GB’s government has been expressing reservations over federal government’s inability to provide sufficient funds to Pakistan administered part of Jammu and Kashmir. In press conference at Islamabad’s Gilgit Baltistan House few days ago, incumbent Chief Minister of GB Khalid Khurshid severely criticised PDM government for non-provision of funds.
