ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety with status of Minister of State Faisal Karim Kundi said coalition government had taken difficult decisions to save country’s economy from default.
Addressing presser, he said coalition government was fully cognisant of sufferings of people at hands of inflation and was committed to facilitating them.
He said country was facing potent economic challenges due to ineffective policies of previous government, which made an agreement with International Monetary Fund with endorsement from Parliament. “Nation knows who is responsible for current economic crisis in country”, he said.
Imran Khan’s government played havoc with country and its economy by taking harmful decisions.
“We are accountable to masses and want to provide every possible relief to them as we have to contest election but such decisions were inevitable for addressing prevailing economic crisis”, he said.
Criticising Imran Khan’s claims of foreign conspiracy against him, Faisal Kundi said PTI Chairman brought defamation to country at international level by his “Conspiracy theory” which shifted from United States to “Rawalpindi”.
He highlighted that present government was still facing challenges of reconstruction of houses for those affected by floods especially in Sindh, Balochistan, southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
On Jail Bharo Tehreek he said person who was talking of movement was himself sacred of appearing before court.
Pakistan Peoples’ Party did not believe in politics of political victimisation but “Imran Khan’s own actions will lead him to disqualification and send him to prison”, he said.
