Govt reinstates NHTF to assist Health Minister

KARACHI: Government announced to reinstate National Health Task Force (NHTF) and appointed Dr Seemin Jamali as its Chairperson. According to health ministry, NHTF would be comprised of 14 members including members from Azaad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and other provinces.

Director Genral Health would be Secretary of NHTF, they added. Health Ministry added that virologists and infectious disease experts would be part of task force. Ayesha Raza Farooq and Dr Safdar Rana would also be appointed to NTHF. Ministry said that Task Force would provide technical assistance to Minister of Health. Task force would work in honourary capacity, they added. Last head of National Health Task Force was Nosherwan Barki.
