Govt prioritising steps to facilitate investors, industrialists: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that government was taking steps on priority to provide all possible facilities to investors and industrialists. He said there were immense opportunities for investment in information and technology, industry, energy, communication and infrastructure sectors of country.
Talking to Chairman Dawlance Fatih Kemal Ebiclioglu who along with delegation called on him, PM Office Media Wing said in press release. During meeting, Minister for Board of Investment Chaudhry Salik Hussain, PM’s Special Assistant Jehanzaib Khan, relevant officials and Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan Mehmet Pacaci also attended meeting.
PM observed that destruction caused by earthquake in Turkiye during February had no precedent in recent past, adding that they were grieved over such scale of devastation.
He reiterated that people of Pakistan would fully support their Turkish brothers and sisters in this difficult time as Turkiye had always stood by them in hard times.
Delegation apprised PM that huge investment was being made on Dawlance unit already functioning in Pakistan, so that energy-efficient products could be produced with use of latest technology.
Moreover, strategy was being mulled to transform Dawlance production plant in Pakistan into regional export hub. After Karachi, Dawlance had also established research and development centre in National University of Sciences and Technology in Islamabad that would serve to liaison between academia and industry.
Delegation apprised that Arcelik, Turkish household industry has been providing internships to Pakistani students in Turkiye for last two years which was not only preparing them for requirements of industry besides, number of students were employed in that company. PM directed relevant authorities to resolve all operational issues of Dawlance and expressed good wishes for delegation.
