Govt jacks up petrol price by Rs2.07 per litre

ISLAMABAD: Price of petroleum products (POL) increased for first fortnight September 2022. Petrol price increased by Rs 2.07 per litre to Rs 235.98 per litre while price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) jacked up by Rs 2.99 per litre to Rs 247.43 per litre. Likewise light diesel price went up to Rs 201.54 after an increase of Rs 9.79 per litre. 

Federal government early Thursday announced increasing price of POL products. A statement issued by Finance Division said. Kerosene new price stands at Rs 210.32 per litre after an increase of Rs 10.92 per litre, notification added.Inflation hit masses did not receive benefit of petroleum price cut in international oil market particularly of petrol and to face a hike in POL prices, said sources.
