ISLAMABAD: PTI senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said government is hiding behind Parliament. “Fabricated cases are being framed. This government has completed its one year and government has failed. Government has devastated economy, he said this while talking to media men after his appearance in District and Sessions court here.

He held during PTI government GDP was 6 percent and it has now reached 45 percent. Economists say this is too wrong as it will become minus.

During PTI tenure inflation was 13 percent and now it has surpassed 35 percent, he remarked. When we left government then reserves were 17 billion dollars which have now reduced to 2.4 billion dollars.

Directives are very clear in Supreme Court (SC) decision. SC has asked government to provide funds to Election Commission (EC), he held.

He went on to say government is hiding behind Parliament. Secretary finance has proceeded on leave. He observed people are changing law today. They are making changes in law only for sake of their survival.

This government wants to impose its unconstitutional and illegal decisions on people. They are openly saying they don’t accept Pakistani laws. PTI will face them on every forum to defend Constitution. If government does not provide funds then we will stand with law and Constitution, he underlined.

Meanwhile District and Sessions Court Islamabad has confirmed interim bail of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in three cases. Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana took up case for hearing. Shah Mehmood Qureshi appeared in court along with his counsel Ali Bukhari. One case was registered in I-9 police station and two cases in police station Golra against Shah Mehmood Qureshi for violating section 144.
