ISLAMABAD: Taking a dig at Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that PTI has been declared a foreign-funded party under Political Party Order 2002 and its chief has submitted a false affidavit.

Reacting to PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry’s statement, she said that Election Commission of Pakistan declared PTI a foreign-funded party under Political Party Order 2002. She said that in its verdict, ECP said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had submitted false affidavit regarding party funding five years ago.

“Now verdict has come out. Government is complying with law. During last eight years, PTI has not given answer regarding its funds. But there is no need of answers anymore as foreign funding case has been proved against party,” she maintained.

She hit out at Fawad saying now PTI leaders were making up hundreds of things. Why they didn’t tell Commission, she added.

Imran was scared of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah that’s why he implicated him in a false 20kg heroin case. She cautioned Fawad to not cross limits borrowing his phrase ‘caution is a good thing’.
