Governor Tessori welcomes cooperation of Pak-UK, Ireland doctors

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that ophthalmologists are working as ‘messiahs’ in true sense. People suffering from eye diseases are able to see world again. Addressing reception in honour of Dr. Bernard Chang President of Royal College of Ophthalmologists London Tessori said that close cooperation of Pakistani doctors with England and Ireland in field of eye treatment is welcomed.

He said that treatment hospitals established in private sector are providing outstanding services. Professor Bernard Cheng said that it was great to come to Karachi, adding that Royal College of Ophthalmology is in close contact with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.

President College Professor Muhammad Shoaib said that 100 percent of doctors who go on scholarship under CPSC return to Pakistan that is reason why World Health Organisation has awarded us Brain Gain award. Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, number of doctors belonging to Department of Ophthalmology participated in ceremony. Event was organised by ophthalmologist Dr. Sharif Hashmani.
