Governor Tessori, ministers attend Turkish CG iftar

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori attended iftar party on special invitation of Turkish Consul General Cemal Snagu. Diplomats of different countries, Minister Saeed Ghani, Chief Secretary Muhammad Sohail Rajput, Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Additional IG Karachi Javed Odhu and political and social figures participated.

Consul General welcomed Governor. Governor said that Pakistan and Turkey stand with each other even in all kinds of challenges, this is sign of trust in bilateral relations. Consul General of Turkey said that today is a very special day. Heroes of humanity, NGOs, universities and school children all helped their brothers in earthquake disasters, which whole nation of Turkey looks at with pride.

Meanwhile, Governor gave one hundred thousand rupees each to families of firefighters Mohsin, Muhammad Afzal, Ali Shahzad and Muhammad Sohail, who were martyred in factory fire incident in New Karachi, at Governor’s House on behalf of Gulmohar City. Gulmohar City also announced to give 50 thousand rupees per month for life to families of martyrs. It should be noted that Governor Sindh had appealed to philanthropists to come forward to help brothers in trouble. In this regard, Gulmohar City has fully assured to provide financial support for families of martyrs on basis of humanitarian sympathy. Governor said that I am writing letter to Chief Minister of Sindh in which I will recommend government of Sindh to compensate families.

Kamran Tessori visited Gulzar Hijri Scheme 33. Residents of area warmly welcomed him. They took pictures and selfies with him. Governor said that today I am very happy to be among people of Gulzar Hijri, purpose of meeting middle class population is to gain personal awareness of problems of residents. He said that census team has also registered me and my family, it is also responsibility of people to register themselves at this time 5 days have been added to census, people should register themselves. He said that it is important to get yourself registered for health, education and employment opportunities. If team does not come to you, approach your respective Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner or Census Office. He said that on day of Eid morning, people are invited to Sher Khurmah, on same day, there is an Eid meeting party and luncheon for public. He said that there is no fear of going among people because people want to see rulers among them.
