Governor Tessori, Japanese envoy discuss trade, investment

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Ambassador of Japan WADA Mitsuhiro along with six-member delegation in meeting discussed mutual relations, commercial and economic, promotion of trade cooperation, investment opportunities in Sindh province and other issues of mutual interest.
Governor said that Pakistan-Japan relations are getting stronger with passage of time that is why he attaches great importance to relations with Japan. Kamran Tessori said that Japanese investors can take advantage of favourable investment opportunities in Karachi, investment in energy, agriculture and other sectors can be made in Sindh province. Measures to restore infrastructure in Karachi are being done. Japanese Ambassador Mitsuhiro said that Japan is keen to increase economic relations with Pakistan.
Governor said that he is grateful to Ambassador for appreciating public welfare initiatives. He said that purpose of bell of hope, IT courses and distribution of ration is to provide facilities to people. Later, Ambassador along with Governor visited marquee for distribution of ration, bell of hope and IT classes.
Meanwhile, delegation of All Pakistan Oil Tankers and Goods Transporters Association met Governor Kamran Tessori. In meeting, Governor was informed about concerns related to implementation of extra load laws and other issues on behalf of transporters. Governor said that transporters have fundamental position in national economy and transporters are playing their role in promotion of economic and commercial activities. Kamran Tessori said that all issues of transporters will be solved, but transporters should also provide people of possible services.
Transporters appealed to implement extra load law until mutual consultation with all stakeholders be suspended. Governor said that he will talk to relevant authorities and meeting of all stakeholders should be called soon so that solution to this problem can be found on mutual consultation. He said that will not leave people alone as long as he was Governor and public welfare work would to continue.
Governor said that ovens will also be established at different places for middle classes where loaves of 2 rupees will be available for them. Health insurance scheme for people is also on cards, he informed.
